Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'New england Aster'

Symphyotrichum novae-angliae, commonly known as New England Aster, is a native, herbaceous perennial plant commonly found in meadows, fields, and along roadsides in North America. It is known for its bright, showy flowers that bloom in late summer and fall and its attractive, fine-textured foliage.

New England Aster can grow up to 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide, with leaves that are up to 6 inches long and have a soft, green color. The leaves are narrow and have a fine texture that provides a soft, feathery appearance in the landscape. In late summer and fall (August - November) the plant produces large clusters of showy, daisy-like flowers that are typically pink, purple, or blue in color. The flowers are attractive to a variety of pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and moths, and provide a valuable source of nectar and pollen late in the growing season.
